Our boutique consultancy partner, known for its deep expertise across the public sector, is seeking talented Business Consultants to join their growing team. Supporting key engagements across Central Government, Defence, Intelligence, Security, and Emergency Services, you’ll be part of meaningful programmes that drive real societal impact.
As a Business Consultant, you will play a crucial role in shaping strategies, developing robust business cases, and delivering practical solutions to complex challenges. Working closely with high-profile clients, you will have the opportunity to refine your consulting skills, take ownership of your workstreams, and help shape the future of public sector delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
4+ years’ experience in a Management Consulting environment. Strong foundations in procurement, concept development, and product ownership. Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively and communicate with influence. Competence in cost modelling, investment appraisal, and financial analysis. Familiarity with public sector business case development - experience with the Green Book Five Case Model is highly desirable. Experience supporting business transformation and change initiatives.
Desirable Attributes:
Exposure to HM Treasury Green Book principles. Understanding of analysis techniques and frameworks such as BPMN and UML. Awareness of industry best practices (e.g., ITIL, OGC Toolkit, Better Business Cases).
A STEM degree and diverse programme exposure are advantageous, but we value adaptability, problem-solving, and a proactive mindset above all. This is an environment where motivated consultants are empowered to develop, lead, and make a real impact.
