Overview:

As an Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on Windows systems, your role will be crucial in designing, managing, and optimising the infrastructure that supports the organisation’s operations. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the delivery of agile, scalable, and secure platforms for applications and services, maintaining seamless performance and business continuity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expertise in Active Directory and DNS; familiarity with Intune is advantageous.

- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows systems and cloud infrastructure.

- Manage and optimise the global virtualisation stack using VMware vSphere.

- Implement and maintain VDI systems across both on-premises and cloud environments.

- Automate workflows using advanced PowerShell scripts to boost efficiency and self-healing capabilities.

- Configure, monitor, and optimise Office 365 (O365) environments.

- Lead hardware lifecycle management, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

- Develop and document technology roadmaps, policies, and standards.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to design innovative, scalable technology solutions.

 

What We Seek:

- Proven experience in managing and engineering Microsoft-based server infrastructure.

- Strong background in VMware vSphere administration.

- Hands-on experience in creating automated workflows with PowerShell and working within CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with systems monitoring and telemetry tools to ensure hardware and system integrity.

- A meticulous eye for detail and exceptional troubleshooting skills.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

 

Desirable Extras:

- Relevant certifications such as MCSE: Core Infrastructure, MCSE: Productivity, or VMware VCP/VCAP.

- Expertise in SAN storage administration.

- A background in engineering or related disciplines.
