About the Role
Senior Systems Engineer
A tech-driven Fintech partner of ours is on the lookout for a Senior Systems Engineer to elevate their On-Prem & Cloud IT infrastructure. If enterprise Windows environments, PowerShell wizardry, and Active Directory mastery get you excited, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Be Doing
Infrastructure & Support:
Designing, deploying, and fine-tuning enterprise Windows environments. Managing Active Directory policies and seamless system integrations. Handling patching, system upgrades, and keeping things running smoothly. Proactively monitoring systems and addressing incidents before they escalate.
Cloud Technologies & Systems Architecture:
Implementing and managing cloud technologies, including AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Athena, CloudFormation) and Azure. Working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CDK with TypeScript. Designing and maintaining system architecture, including virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, and network architecture (ArubaOS-CX, Cisco, HPE FlexFabric). Playing a key role in disaster recovery planning and ensuring business continuity.
What You’ll Bring
Technical Chops:
Deep experience managing enterprise Windows and Linux environments. Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation and system management. Expertise in managing Active Directory and system integrations. Solid understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, including managing permissions and policies. Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting expertise, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, and vulnerability management tools like Rapid7 and DarkTrace. Proficiency with backup and recovery solutions, such as Cohesity and Veritas. Familiarity with disaster recovery practices and ensuring uptime through system redundancy (e.g., MS SQL Clustering). Experience with network security best practices and tools, including firewalls, vulnerability management, and endpoint security solutions.
