Contract Role: Platform Engineer – Defence Cloud Programme

We are working on a significant new programme in partnership with a leading global technology provider. This programme spans multiple £100m+ cloud transformation initiatives, and we are looking for skilled Platform Engineers to help drive delivery.

The Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will build, configure and optimise secure cloud platforms to support complex and sensitive services. You will be hands-on with GCP services, ensuring platforms are reliable, compliant, and delivered at pace within an agile environment.

Key Requirements

Active DV clearance (essential). Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – build, deployment, and optimisation. Familiarity with cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation. Background in Defence or secure government environments. Collaborative approach, able to work closely with architects and engineers.

Assignment Details

Location: South West (4 days per week onsite).

Contract: 6 months initially, with extensions expected.

IR35: Inside IR35.

Start Date: ASAP.
